Senior Groups

Stow Sunshiners - Stow Sunshiners is a membership organization of active senior adults 55 & older led by an elected Board of members. The group holds a monthly catered luncheon with entertainment.

MEETINGS: All seniors are invited to attend the Luncheon Meetings which are held at NOON on the first Monday of the month (unless Holiday - 2nd Monday) at Cedar Hall - Stow Glen Retirement Village.

Membership is open to any current resident of Stow or membership area who is at least 55 years of age. The membership area is defined as contiguous cities to Stow. Individuals are asked to attend two luncheons before applying for membership. A $5 donation covers your membership January 1 - December 31. Membership & Luncheon Tickets are available by contacting (330) 688-8673.


Stow Senior Citizen Commission - A mayor-appointed advisory commission that meets monthly to discuss senior citizen issues and concerns.

MEETINGS: Third Tuesday each month, 7:00pm at Stow Senior Center.

Volunteer Groups


Care & Share Program
A volunteer craft group who assists local organizations through the creation & distribution of a variety of handicraft projects. Past projects include assembling small dolls for Children’s Hospital and Alzheimer’s patients to assist in describing pain, Nail Kits for Hospice and a variety of other projects that lend comfort & support. You do not need to be artistic or have special skills to lend a hand.

MEETINGS: Last Monday of each month 1:30pm (January-April, August -September) at the Stow Senior Center.

Stow Blanketeers
Knitting & Crocheting Group who create and donate blankets to local charities.

MEETINGS: Second & Fourth Wednesday each month 1:00pm Oregon Trail Lodge
