Senior Groups

Stow Sunshiners - Monthly luncheon meeting - First Monday 12:00 noon.
Stow Sunshiners is a membership organization of active senior adults 55 & older led by an elected Board of members. The group holds a monthly catered luncheon with entertainment.

All seniors are invited to attend the Luncheon Meetings which are held the first Monday of the month (unless Holiday - 2nd Monday) at Cedar Hall - Stow Glen Retirement Village.

Seniors are asked to become a member of the Sunshiners after attending two luncheons. Membership requires seniors 55+ and a Stow resident or a contiguous city. A $5 donation covers your membership January 1 - December 31. Membership & Luncheon Tickets available by contacting: Stow Sunshiner Treasurer: Gladys Etz (330) 677-1440

Stow Senior Advisory Commission - Third Tuesday each month, 7:00pm at Stow Senior Center.
A mayor-appointed advisory commission that meets monthly to discuss senior citizen issues and programs.


Volunteer Groups


Care & Share Stow Senior Center
Last Monday of each month 1:30 pm (January-April, August -September) Stow Senior Center. A volunteer craft group who assists local organizations through the creation & distribution of a variety of handicraft projects. Past projects include assembling small dolls for Children’s Hospital and Alzheimer’s patients to assist in describing pain, Nail Kits for Hospice and a variety of other projects that lend comfort & support. You do not need to be artistic or have special skills to lend a hand.

Second & Fourth Wednesday 1:00 pm Oregon Trails Lodge
Knitting & Crocheting Group who create and donate blankets to local charities.
