Residents are encouraged to provide feedback by attending our series of public meetings, participating in our Online Surveys, reviewing the available documents below, and/or contacting Planning Staff through the links at the bottom of this page. What is the Comprehensive Plan ? The Comprehensive Plan is a guideline used by Planning Staff, Planning Commission, City Council & Administration in order to establish and maintain development policies for land use, infrastructure, transportation and other long-range community issues.
Why have a Comprehensive Plan ? The Comprehensive Plan reflects the City's vision as a quality suburban community in which residents' needs for goods and services, employment, housing, transportation, education and recreation are met. The Plan is referenced when making zoning, development, capital improvement, service and other decisions.
Why Update the Comprehensive Plan ? The Comprehensive Plan is not a static document, but one which is reviewed periodically in order to respond to recent & current economic, demographic and development trends.
