The Stow Police Department is staffed by 42 sworn Police Officers, 27 non-sworn Reserve Officers and 29 civilian employees. Our Department is committed to providing quality law enforcement services to the community and is innovative in seeking solutions to crime and other problems within the City. Our residents can take pride in knowing this agency has a reputation for excellence in the law enforcement community and works diligently and professionally to make Stow a safe and secure place to live and work.
As a group, the members of the Stow Police Department possess a wealth of education in public service. Stow Officers have earned degrees ranging from Associate to Masters Degrees in diverse fields such as:

Two members of the Command staff are graduates of the FBI National Academy. Many members have prior military experience covering all branches of the armed services. The officers and staff have been trained in a broad and diverse spectrum of fields to better accomplish the goals of this organization. Members also have specialized skills and background including training in tactical operations, polygraph instrument, traffic accident reconstruction, Crime scene and forensic evidence collection and many other law enforcement technical fields.
