As of February 1, 2006, the City of Stow became the proud owner of Fox Den Golf Course, a 6,518 yard, par-72 course located on the southeast corners of Call and Young Roads in Stow. The City seized the opportunity to preserve one of the top-rated golf courses in the state of Ohio as a community recreational facility. Not only does Stow have a golfing destination, but the City was able to retain approximately 130 acres of attractive green space for the enjoyment of all Stows citizens that otherwise may have been sold to a developer. The golf course is operated under the City's Parks and Recreation Department. The City retained key personnel in order to continue the tradition of high quality service to the public.
